Allevard Sogefi Announces $28 Million Expansion, 250 Jobs In Prichard, WV

The Italian company, Allevard Sogefi, has announced it will soon be adding 250 jobs in a $20 million expansion at its Prichard location in Wayne County, WV. The company currently operates in a facility that is leased from Huntington Area Development Council (HADCO).

HADCO was instrumental in bringing Allevard Sogefi to Wayne County in 2002.  HADCO President Gary Walton praised Allevard Sogefi, and its General Manager Troy Thomas, for the continued  commitment to Wayne County and West Virginia.WV Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin mentioned that Sogefi Group CEO, Guglielmo Fiocchi, praised the state’s hardworking people during a recent trade mission to Europe.

The plant opened in 2004 and manufactures parts for automobile engines, including fuel pumps, fuel filters and oil filters. The parts from the West Virginia plant are used by Toyota, Ford, Fiat, Chrysler, BMW, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai and Kia.
