Komatsu iMC 2.0 Added to PC210-11 Excavator

Jan. 18, 2021

Komatsu has updated the machine control system on its PC210LCi-11 excavator to iMC 2.0. The factory-integrated system is designed to minimize over-excavation and enable operators to dig straight to grade quickly and accurately. The technology is part of Komatsu’s suite of Smart Construction products, services, and digital solutions.

Updates for the 165-horsepower Komatsu excavator, whose operating weight ranges from 51,397 to 53,882 pounds, include two advancements.

“Perform finish grading using only arm input” allows operators to finish grade quickly and accurately with bucket angle hold control that automatically holds the bucket angle to the design surface during arm operation, enabling operators to perform finish grading using only arm input.

“Auto tilt bucket control” assists the operator in aligning the bucket parallel with the slope, so that finish grading can be accomplished without having to align the machine with the target surface.
