Ashur YosephAshur Yoseph has been named a senior vice president in WSP USA’s San Francisco office. Yoseph has more than three decades of experience and will be responsible for business development in support of WSP’s property and buildings, and transportation and infrastructure businesses. He served most recently as infrastructure development manager in San Francisco’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development. Yoseph received a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering technology from Sacramento State University.


Ann Poppen has joined McCarthy Building Cos. as project director for the firm’s Northern Pacific region. She has more than 26 years of experience in design, planning, preconstruction design phase services and project execution. Poppen joins McCarthy’s Sacramento unit in its Roseville office and is working on the planning of Stanislaus County’s new Modesto courthouse, with construction set to begin in early 2020. Prior to joining McCarthy, Poppen was a vice president with Sundt Construction Inc. She earned her bachelor’s of science degree in construction engineering and management from Purdue University.


Elisabeth SuhElisabeth Suh and Lilly Acuña have joined HNTB Corp.’s environmental practice in the West division. Suh joined the firm as director of environmental planning (highway) and Acuña serves as environmental planner. Both are based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Suh has more than 17 years of experience dealing with the most complex highway projects in Southern California. Prior to joining HNTB, Suh spent 12 years at Caltrans District 7. Suh holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in geography and city and regional planning. Acuña has more than 12 years of transportation experience. She attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Darlene K. Gee has been named national pursuit champion for HNTB in Oakland. Gee joined the company in 2012 as Northern California office leader and vice president. In 2016, she was honored by the American Road and Transportation Builders Association with the Ethel S. Birchland Lifetime Achievement Award. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.


Alicia ZaroAlicia Zaro has been promoted to studio manager for interior architecture and design in Ware Malcomb’s Los Angeles office. Zaro joined the firm in 2014 and has extensive interior architecture and design expertise. She is a member of the 2018 NAIOP So Cal Young Professionals Group. Zaro received a bachelor’s degree in interior architectural design from the University of California, Davis.


David Thomack has joined Suffolk’s San Francisco office as chief operation officer of Northern California. Thomack is a 25-year industry veteran. Prior to Suffolk, Thomack was executive vice president and general manager for The Boldt Co. During his time there, he served as the project executive for the Sutter Health/CPMC Van Ness and Geary Campus Hospital project. In addition, John McKernan has joined Suffolk’s office in San Francisco as the vice president of operations of Northern California. McKernan is a 20-year Bay Area commercial construction veteran. Prior to Suffolk, McKernan was a vice president and account manager at Skanska USA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University.
