American Institute of Architects Colorado recognized 36 projects throughout Colorado for design excellence during the chapter’s annual design conference in early October. Judged by architects from across the nation, the winning projects were recognized for build, materials, aesthetics, space and design.

The 2016 AIA Colorado Design Awards included recognition from AIA Colorado South, AIA Colorado North, AIA Denver and AIA Colorado. The winners are:

The 2016 AIA Colorado West Design Awards jury chair was Lawrence Speck.
