Tsiouvaras Simmons and Holderness Inc. (TSH), with locations in Denver, Colorado Springs and Loveland, Colo., was recently acquired by RS&H, an employee-owned architecture, engineering and consulting firm based in Jacksonville, Fla. It has a national footprint of offices throughout the U.S.

Since 2005, RS&H has served Colorado and clients in the western U.S. from its Denver office in the aerospace, defense and aviation sectors, as well as facilities design for corporate clients.

The acquisition of TSH expands current RS&H service offerings in the Colorado market within the transportation sector, particularly in the areas of transportation planning; highway, bridge, traffic and hydraulic design; as well as construction management and inspection.

Founded in 2005 in Denver, TSH plans and designs complex infrastructure projects, as well as performing construction project management, administration and field observations. Clients include state and local governments, as well as heavy-civil construction contractors engaged in design-build projects.

RS&H is currently performing construction assessments and independent assurance-testing services as the owner representative for the $2.2-billion Central 70 public-private partnership in Denver.

TSH is designing the I-25 Express Lanes project from Johnstown to Fort Collins, Colo., in concert with the Kraemer-IHC joint venture, plus several other state and local transportation projects.

TSH’s clients will continue to work with TSH staff, further complemented by RS&H’s multi-disciplinary expertise. “TSH’s staff is well respected in the Colorado market for high-quality work and a commitment to their clients and employees,” said RS&H CEO David T. Sweeney.

“We look forward to working with our new partners to continue to serve TSH’s existing Colorado clients as well as extend the full spectrum of our joint capabilities to existing and new clients in the West,” he said.

“From the beginning of our discussions, we were attracted by the natural synergies between the two firms,” said TSH President George N. Tsiouvaras.
