Skanska Constructs $149M Medical Building in Connecticut

Skanska has signed a contract to build a new special medical building for Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. The contract value, $149 million, will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the first quarter of 2014.

Skanska began construction on the renovation and expansion project for Stamford Hospital to expand the hospital’s services and capacity in 2012. The new 646,000-square-feet medical specialty building will be constructed on the existing Stamford Hospital Campus.

Construction on the new building began in spring 2013, and is expected to be completed in spring 2016.
