PCL Construction Opens Dallas Office

DALLAS, Texas — The PCL family of companies is expanding with the opening of a new Water Infrastructure Group office in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas office will target the growing number of projects aimed at producing enough clean drinking water for state residents.

“Texas experienced its worst drought in state history in 2012 and officials are trying to predict the state’s need for water,” said PCL Area Manager Doug Schmits. “PCL offers the expertise and experience to help deliver new and expanding water treatment projects that will help meet the growing need for water.”

The 2012 Texas State Water Plan lists $53 billion in future state-funded water projects. Edward G. Vaughn, Texas Water Development Board chairman, writes in the first page of the plan, “The primary message of the 2012 State Water Plan is a simple one: in serious drought conditions, Texas does not and will not have enough water to meet the needs of its people, its businesses and its agricultural enterprises.”

The Dallas office will also expand its reach into Oklahoma and the Midwest. PCL’s Water Infrastructure Group additionally serves the western and eastern United States with offices in Phoenix and Tampa.
