CONNECTICUT

The city of Bridgeport is planning to construct a replacement Bassick High School. The new building will measure an estimated 200,000 sq ft. It is being designed by Perkins Eastman Architects, and Bismark Construction Co. has been chosen as the construction manager at-risk. The bid date is anticipated for spring 2022. GEORGIA

The Georgia Dept. of Transportation is planning to construct the Southeast Rome Bypass. The proposed 4.6-mile-long rural four-lane roadway is divided by a 44-ft-wide grassed median with 10-ft-wide outside shoulders of which 6.5 ft will be paved. Bridges are proposed over Callier Springs Road and over U.S. Route 411/State Route 20. A diamond interchange is proposed at U.S. Route 411/State Route 20. Also included is the reconstruction of 5,500 ft of State Route 101 from a two-lane rural to a four-lane urban curb-and-gutter section with a 20-ft-wide raised median, sidewalks and bike lanes. MINNESOTA

The Mayo Foundation is planning to expand the Eisenberg Proton Beam Facility in Rochester. The two-story, 110,00-sq-ft expansion will be located on the east side of the Eisenberg Building and attached to the Jacobson Building. The expansion will include two floors below ground, a lobby level and a first level and will be constructed to allow for future expansion. The expanded facility will feature two new treatment rooms. Construction is expected to start in November 2022 and be completed by July 2025. The project is valued at $75 million. NEW YORK

Farrell Building Co. is planning to develop the Beacon Commons Apartments in Beacon. The four-story, 80,000-sq-ft building will contain 62 units and a 64-space parking lot. OHIO

Amgen Inc. is planning to construct a pharmaceutical packaging plant in New Albany. The single-story, 270,000-sq-ft plant will contain areas for labeling and packaging as well as an automated warehouse, quality control labs and training rooms. The engineer-procure-construct cost, including equipment, will be $365 million. OKLAHOMA CITY

The Dream Hotel Group and Matteson Capital Holdings LLC are planning to build a Dream Hotel in Oklahoma City. The 14-story building will have 220 rooms, 11,000 sq ft of meeting and event space and five dining and nightlife venues, including a rooftop pool deck. It is being designed by Cube 3, and Hensel Phelps Construction Co. has been selected as the general contractor. The project is valued at $137.5 million. OREGON

The Eugene Water & Electric Board is planning to build a second water treatment plant. The new facility will feature an initial capacity of approximately 10 million gallons per day and be supplied by the Willamette River. It is being designed by Carollo Engineers Inc.  Construction is expected to start in July 2025. The project is valued at $60 million.
