M&M's Dig Day

M&M Plant, the Case Construction Equipment dealer for Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, held a Dig Day on 16-17 August 2019.

Hosted on a 4.5-acre site at the company’s recently constructed headquarters in Launceston, Cornwall, the event offered visitors much more than a traditional open day. Those with an operator’s license were able to try out a variety of Case machines across the two days in a real-life operating environment.

“The event was incredibly well received by those in attendance, with many relishing the chance to really put the Case machines through their paces,” says M&M managing director Mark Gregory. “To see people there from 9am to 6pm was especially heartening. It really was a testament to both the capabilities of our state-of-the-art facility and the popularity of the machines on display. Many noted the ease of operation offered by the Case machines and appreciated the informal and unstructured approach of the day as this allowed them to spend as much time as they needed with the machines,” he says.

Machines available to test throughout the Dig Day included a CX26 mini excavator, a CX130 excavator, a CX210 excavator, a CX350 excavator, a 1650M dozer and an 821G wheeled loader. On display alongside these was one of Case’s latest machine offerings – the Stage V compliant CX90D excavator.

“Following the conclusion of the event, we already have several machine enquiries from potential new customers, with many citing the ability to thoroughly test the machines as key to stoking their interest,” Mark Gregory adds. “Fostering these kinds of relationships will be key to our future success, with our headquarters already equipped to expand as the business grows.”
