Connecticut Man Accused of Burglarizing Outdoor Power Equipment Dealership

Video surveillance shows a familiar man stealing outdoor power equipment; he is suspected in other burglaries.

A man was recently arrested for allegedly breaking into a store and stealing several pieces of lawn care equipment, according to a press release. The same man is suspected in a series of other burglaries.

Michael Macy, 43, of Shelton, Connecticut, was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny and criminal mischief, the release said.

Police responded to Bahner Lawn & Forest Equipment on the report of an overnight burglary. Officers discovered someone had broken into the store and stolen several pieces of outdoor power equipment, the release stated.

Video surveillance showed a red Chevrolet pickup truck pulling in front of the store, and then a man getting out and burglarizing the store, according to the release. Police said the same red Chevrolet pickup truck was involved in several commercial burglaries in Shelton from late 2017 through March.
