Jonathon FeldotteJonathon Feldotte, Brandon Leslie and Jennifer Hurst have been promoted to vice president in their respective divisions  throughout the Barton Malow family of companies. Hurst will serve as vice president and general counsel for Barton Malow Builders, the institutional and commercial construction entity, while Fedlotte and Leslie will move into vice president roles with Barton Malow Co., the industrial entity of the enterprise.

 

John Rakolta IIIJohn Rakolta III has been promoted to president of Walbridge in Detroit. He will also continue in his role as chief administrative officer.

“John has a proven ability to deliver high levels of sustained results, and we are excited about the future,” Walbridge CEO Mike Haller said. “He is the right person, at the right time, to lead the Walbridge team into this new era.”

As the first family member to serve as president of Walbridge in nearly 30 years, Rakolta is proud of his third-generation status.


Steve Haberberger Jr.St. Louis-based Haberberger Mechanical Contractors has named Steve Haberberger Jr. as president and CEO. He represents the fourth generation to serve in a leadership role with the family-owned business established in 1948.
 

 

David BirkDavid Birk, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Holland Construction in Belleville, Ill., is retiring after 32 years with the company and 41 years of industry experience. Birk was one of the first employees and later an owner at the company, which he helped grow to become one of the top 15 contractors in the St. Louis area.

 

Joseph LombardThe Precast Concrete Institute of Illinois and Wisconsin has hired Joseph Lombard as its executive director. Lombard has almost a decade of industry experience with Lombard Architectural Precast Products Co. of Alsip, Ill.

 


Stantec has agreed to acquire Wenck, an environmental engineering firm with expertise in air, water, waste, food processing, natural resources and infrastructure. Founded in 1985, Wenck provides environmental, engineering and response solutions with 300 multidisciplinary technical experts. The acquisition will immediately add depth and breadth to Stantec’s environmental services team across the Midwest, where Wenck has several offices.

 

Barry SullivanRyan Cos. US  has promoted Barry Sullivan to vice president of construction. Sullivan previously served as director of construction. A longtime employee of Ryan Cos., Sullivan joined as a co-op intern in the company’s Minneapolis office in 1999. Then in 2002, he officially joined the team as an associate project manager in the Chicago office. He advanced to director of construction in 2018 and started his new role as vice president in November.

 

Hansel WhiteurstBerglund Construction has hired Hansel Whiteurst as vice president of the Chicago building division. He will oversee construction operations there. Whiteurst has 30 years of commercial building and construction experience with Turner Construction, Lendlease and, most recently, as vice president of McKissack and McKissack, where he led the Midwest and West Coast offices.
