Designing a functional, vibrant, and sustainable bus depot is tough enough. Giving the Building Team a fraction of the preferable space is another obstacle. Most metro bus depots are spread out across one level, but due to site constraints, the Building Team for the MTA Division 13 Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility had to configure 12 acres’ worth of programming in a multi-level structure on a 4.8-acre site in downtown Los Angeles.

New Home Sales Up 23.8 Percent - Highest Level in 8 Years

April's new residential sales numbers were release today by the US Census Bureau and things are definitely looking up. Sales rose 16.6 percent to 619,000, above the revised March rate of 531,000 forecasted and is 23.8 above the April 2015 estimate of 500,000. The median selling price for new homes also jumped 9.7 percent to a record $321,100. The April report also shows a 4.7 month inventory.

Dodge Momentum Index Increases in April

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Dodge Momentum Index rose 0.6 percent in April to 116.5 from its revised March reading of 115.8 (2000=100).
