Software Technology for Construction Firms

Software technology is evolving rapidly and construction firms are embracing Cloud Adoption, Accounting/Finance, CRM and mobile technologies.

A recent study by the Business Software Education Center identified planned investment and implementation of key technologies among construction and other executives in North America.

The C-Suite Software Sentiment Study was recently conducted (May 2019) and surveyed over 500 executives in construction and other industries, and all geographic locations.

Key Software Study Highlights

  • Cloud adoption and migration ranked highest in top technology initiatives at 21%, followed by Mobile solutions at 20%
  • Over 55% of execs are planning increase in technology investment, compared to only 15% planning decrease investment
  • Top software types include Accounting or Finance, Cloud Platforms, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Roles that determine software and technology include information technology (IT) at 30%, followed by Finance/Accounting at 18%, and Operations at 17%
