Oshkosh Creating 300 Jobs At New Tennessee Plant

The specialty vehicle manufacturer will establish a new manufacturing facility in Jefferson City, creating more than 300 jobs over the next three years.

Fortune 500 company Oshkosh Corporation will establish a new manufacturing facility in Jefferson City, TN. The designer and manufacturer of specialty vehicles and vehicle bodies plans to create more than 300 jobs in Jefferson County over the next three years.

Jones, Oshkosh Corporation President and CEO. “Oshkosh Corporation is positioned for success in all segments and this new manufacturing facility will allow us to continue to respond to the demand for increased manufacturing capabilities.”

Oshkosh’s Jefferson City facility will house welding and fabrication operations in support of Oshkosh’s multiple segments. Oshkosh plans to renovate and occupy the former John Deere building in Jefferson City, and will be installing new machinery and equipment in the coming months. The approximately 500,000-square-foot facility is expected to be operational in 2019.
