Quality Iron & Steel Investing $2.8M In Tennessee

The steel fabrication company will create 32 jobs at a new Selmer plant that's expected to begin operations in May 2019.

Quality Iron & Steel, LLC will invest $2.8 million to establish operations in Selmer, TN. The steel fabrication company will create 32 jobs in McNairy County. A new business, Quality Iron & Steel will locate its operations in a 54,000-square-foot facility at 335 Tennessee Ave.

Selmer, TN“I am truly proud to announce that Selmer, Tennessee is the new home of Quality Iron & Steel’s fabrication facility,” said Craig Salabor, co-owner, Quality Iron & Steel. “With an available facility that was built with steel fabrication as its primary function, a ready workforce and especially having the citizens and local governing officials behind me, I can say with conviction that Selmer, Tennessee is the right community for Quality Iron & Steel.”

The company anticipates operations will begin in May 2019. Quality Iron & Steel will fabricate structural steel for commercial and industrial use, producing beams, columns, stairs, bridges and railings.

Bill Lee. “Quality Iron & Steel’s investment will expand the job opportunities for Selmer residents, and I look forward to the many ways this new operation will spark economic activity in Southwest Tennessee.”

“I’d like to thank Quality Iron & Steel for its commitment to Selmer,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Bob Rolfe. “Tennessee’s Tier-4 communities like McNairy County have our utmost attention when it comes to supporting new jobs, and we’ve been able to recruit approximately 2,000 job commitments and $250 million worth of investment to Tier-4 counties since 2018.”

Since 2015, TNECD has supported five economic development projects in McNairy County. These projects represent approximately 450 job commitments and $13.6 million in private capital investment.
