Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA has taken the wraps of the next generation of its B75W compact wheeled excavator.

“Efficient, precise and dependable” are the words that Yanmar’s marketing people are using here.

The B75W-5 is powered by the 73hp Yanmar 4TNV98CT turbocharged diesel engine with diesel particulate filter (DPF) as standard, meeting EU Stage V emissions legislation (which the UK still abides by, despite no longer being part of the EU and no longer having any say in the rules).

This machine delivers 295.5Nm torque at 1,365rpm and can reach travel speeds of up to 22 mph.

Digging depth is 3,500mm (TPA boom), digging force 38,000N (at bucket edge), max reach is 6,990mm (TPA boom) and max dumping height is 5,050mm (TPA boom).

An LUDV hydraulic system with four independent circuits means the driver can simultaneously operate a tilt rotator with a hydraulic quick-hitch system and a hydraulic tool, such as a grab or cutter.

Yanmar’s Smart Control operating system comes as standard, letting the driver pick optimum power levels for different applications. Some of the controls have been redesigned, there is a new display design and a thumbwheel has been added on the joystick.

LED lights on the boom are also standard, and specialist lighting packages are available as optional extras.

Other options include float position function on the front dozer blade (activated via the LCD monitor).This allows the blade to follow soil contour by weight, making levelling and filling work easier. 

You can also opt for narrow width Michelin Bibload HS tyres (which are specifically designed for operating on hard surfaces),  a circular boom for small working envelopes and extended dipperstick for increased reach.

New attachments include a bucket and fork carrier, mechanical/hydraulic quick couplers, standard/grading/swivel buckets and DMS breakers.
