CHICAGO, Ill., October 30, 2019 – Co-developers Time Equities, Inc. (TEI), JK Equities and Oak Capitals, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, October 24th, to celebrate the start of construction for 1000M, the ultra-luxury condominium building across from Grant Park in Chicago. Over 100 guests, including city and community officials, along with project partners and the design team, joined the co-developers in the celebration of this 832-foot tower on Michigan Avenue.
Mike Golden, Co-CEO of @properties, 1000M’s exclusive sales agency, 4th Ward Alderman Sophia King, Francis Greenburger, Chairman and CEO of Time Equities, Jerry Karlik, founder of JK Equities, and Eli Abubeker, principal of Oak Capitals, all spoke about the importance of this addition to the city's South Loop. James McHugh Construction Co. will be the builder.

Designed by a Chicago-based team headed by architect Helmut Jahn with interiors by Kara Mann, 1000M is slated to be the tallest tower on Michigan Avenue and the tallest of Jahn’s portfolio in Chicago. 1000M will also be the largest condo project, in terms of the total number of residences (421), in more than a decade.
Greenburger confirmed that construction on the $470MM project will commence in December. 1000M has sold 23% of its 421 luxury residences to date.
The 832-foot tower will feature 40,000 sf of amenities, including: a spa featuring hot and cold plunge pools, steam room, sauna and Himalayan salt therapy room; an outdoor pool and sundeck; fitness center; golf simulator; coworking space; a 72nd-floor winter garden, observation deck and Club 1000 lounge with a residents-only bar; music conservatory; demonstration kitchen and private dining room; lobby with 24-hour staff and a porte cochere; and a concierge.
