The Academy Apprenticeship Program offers individuals a chance to "earn while you learn" The four-year program gives trainees a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the plumbing trade PHCC GA Academy has received approval to run an online Plumbing Apprenticeship course Enrollment for the 2015 Plumbing 101 August semester is currently open

Recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Labor, Employment & Training Administration, Office of Apprenticeship, the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC) of Georgia, has received approval to run a plumbing course for apprentices.

The PHCC GA Academy Apprenticeship Program offers individuals a chance to "earn while you learn."  The program combines classroom training courses with on-the-job training.  This method of education allows individuals to combine real life experiences with applied knowledge. Students are employed by contractor sponsors who provide on-the-job experience.

The four year program gives trainees a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the plumbing trade.   PHCC GA Academy students are “federally registered” as apprentices when they are enrolled in the training program.  The program requires 160 hours of related classroom instruction per year.  Classroom subjects include drafting and blueprint reading, mathematics, safety, state plumbing codes and regulations.

The plumbing-heating-cooling industry is currently lacking the necessary skilled labor to supply all facets of work in progress.  Without training, this problem will only increase.

The PHCC is helping secure the industry's future.  The contractor will be a more competitive force, and the community will benefit from improved quality of finished work. Business owners and consumers recognize the value to of skilled plumbing-heating-cooling professionals and look for the PHCC logo first.

Additionally, PHCC GA Academy has received approval to run an online Plumbing Apprenticeship course.  This eLearning course allows students who work and live outside the classroom areas, to finish their schooling and work towards becoming licensed contractors.

Enrollment for the 2015 Plumbing 101 August semester is currently open for students.  Students will attend class one evening per week, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for 39 weeks.  For optimal learning, class size is limited to 20 students. The training program employs industry professionals as instructors.  Classes will be held in Metro-Atlanta and Macon, Georgia.  Applications for classroom instruction or eLearning are available at www.PHCCGA.com.
