McDonald

Terry McCallister, Travis McDonald, Christopher Lundgren, Rob Schofield and Don Speedie have joined Sundt Construction’s Sacramento office. McCallister  joins the firm as a field superintendent, with more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry. McDonald and Lundgren will also work as field superintendents. McDonald brings over a decade of experience as a foreman and carpenter, while Lundgren has two decades of experience. Schofield will work as an engineer. Speedie has 20 years of experience and has delivered projects totaling more than $300 million in value. Bob Powell has joined Sundt in its San Diego office. He will serve as a senior virtual construction engineer. Powell has experience overseeing BIM, with a special expertise in aviation construction.

 

Tom Donohue has joined Suffolk as president and general manager in Los Angeles. Before his new position at Suffolk, Donohue spent more than 23 years at Turner Construction, where he served as vice president and general manager, business development manager and division manager. He serves on the board of Kidsave, a nonprofit that tries to find parents and mentors for children living in orphanages and temporary foster homes.

 

Amanda Patterson has been named the first vice president of marketing for Raken, a construction app and software company in San Diego. Patterson has 18 years of experience in leadership and communications, most recently as a senior executive at software company Mindbody Inc., where she led global marketing.

 

Swanborn

Arnold Swanborn has been promoted to design principal at CO Architects, while Parini Mehta and Phillip White have been promoted to associate prin-cipals. Tanner Clapham and Jorge Colón have been promoted to senior associates in Los Angeles. Swanborn joined CO Architects in 2008 and has more than 25 years of experience. Mehta brings more than 10 years of experience in architecture, design and medical planning to the firm. White has more than 20 years of experience as a project manager and senior technical leader. Clapham has worked as a design manager and project architect on several medical and health sciences education buildings. Colón has nearly 20 years of design and management experience.

 

François-René Perron has joined HDR in Sacramento as power generation program manager. Perron is a rotating equipment expert and mechanical engineer. He spent 16 years at Voith Hydro, where he was a program manager. He has an executive MBA from Kellogg-Schulich School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Concordia University.

 

Mila Volkova has been promoted to director of health care design and Greg Spon has been promoted to director of architecture in Ware Malcomb’s Irvine, Calif.-based headquarters. Volkova joined the firm in 2013 as a project manager and was promoted to studio manager in 2016. Volkova recently spoke about trends in health care design at the 2018 Commercial Real Estate Women national convention. Spon joined the firm in 2015 in the San Diego office and moved to the Irvine office in 2018 as studio manager of architecture.
