ActiveCampaign Expanding To Indiana, Will Add 200 Jobs

The Chicago-based marketing technology company will invest more than $10 million in its Indianapolis operations over the next several years.

ActiveCampaign, a provider of intelligence-driven sales and marketing automation for small businesses, will add more than 200 employees in its new Indianapolis office in order to keep up with growing demand from clients across more than 150 countries.

“Indianapolis opens up a ton of opportunities for ActiveCampaign with great marketing technology talent,” said Jason VandeBoom, founder and CEO of ActiveCampaign. “As we’ve grown so quickly, we knew the Indianapolis marketing technology ecosystem and its local talent would be a great place for us to continue our expansion. Last year, we welcomed Indianapolis-based CTO, Tony Newcome, and we’re looking forward to welcoming new team members to help us scale the ActiveCampaign platform to continue to give small businesses the tools they need to create great experiences for their customers.”

IndianapolisTo accommodate its growing team, ActiveCampaign will invest more than $10 million in its Indianapolis operations over the next several years. ActiveCampaign will continue to operate at 55 Monument Circle for now, and is actively looking for a more permanent space as it is quickly expanding in Indianapolis. The Chicago-based company employs 400 employees across its Chicago, Sydney and Indianapolis offices.

ActiveCampaign, which helps growing businesses meaningfully connect and engage with their customers, has surpassed $60 million in annual recurring revenue, with over 700% revenue growth in the last three years. The Indianapolis office, which opened in January, is a fast follow to the company’s newest office in Sydney, Australia, which opened in August of last year.

Pending approval from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) board of directors, the IEDC will offer ActiveCampaign up to $6.2 million in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, so until empoyees are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Indianapolis supports the project at the request of Develop Indy, a business unit of the Indy Chamber.
