California Urban Commons, the company that operates the ocean liner Queen Mary as a tourist attraction and  hotel, is planning on developing 65 acres of waterfront property in Long Beach, alongside the ship, into a massive entertainment complex called Urban Adventure Center. It will feature a 7,000-seat amphitheater, 500,000 sq ft of entertainment and retail, and a public music performance space. The complex will feature a 150,000-sq-ft facility with 22 sports and entertainment activities, including two rooftop surf pavilions, a zip line, a roller coaster, an indoor ice climbing venue and a ropes course. Florida TECO Energy, the parent company of Tampa Electric, is planning to make changes to its coal-fired Big Bend Power Station in Apollo Beach. Iowa Blackbird Investments is planning to erect Blackbird Tower, a 33-story residential building at 515 Walnut St. in Des Moines. The 340,000-sq-ft building will contain 275 apartments, a 20,000-sq-ft business center, 10,000 sq ft of retail space, a skywalk-level park and a cantilevered pool jutting out from the top floor. Maryland Toll Brothers is planning to develop Locust Hill Townhouses in Bowie. It will include 17 two-story buildings totaling 208,000 sq ft and containing 116 townhomes. Ohio The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is planning to carry out the Shoreline Consolidation Sewer project in Cleveland. The project consists of approximately 11,700 ft of 114-in.-dia sewer to be constructed along South Marginal Road from East 12th Street to its downstream connection to the Shoreline Storage Tunnel at Shaft SST-7 near Marquette Road. The SCS project will reduce the number of combined sewer overflows to Lake Erie by capturing and conveying CSO from seven CSO outfalls that currently discharge to Lake Erie. Oregon Yacht Harbor LLC is planning to develop Yacht Harbor Retirement Housing, an age-restricted retirement community in Portland.
