Alabama Greystar is planning to construct the Union on Frank Apartments on a 1.7-acre site in Tuscaloosa near the University of Alabama campus. It will include 238 units with 396 beds, comprising 106 studios, 30 one-bedroom units, 74 two-bedroom units and 28 four-bedroom units, in two six-story buildings. Idaho Cascade River LLC is planning to construct the River District mixed-use development in Cascade. It will include 443 homes on 121 acres of grazing land along the North Fork of the Payette River northeast of Cascade Airport, consisting of 135 estate houses, nine smaller houses, 43 townhouses, 48 residential fourplexes and four apartment buildings with 16 units each and 11 commercial lots. Kentucky The University of Kentucky is planning to renovate the Memorial Coliseum in Lexington. The project entails renovating the entire 235,000-sq-ft building, including offices and academic functions, upgrading the Center for Academic and Tutorial Services facility and the Women’s Basketball Locker Room Suite located within the Craft Center., as well as building envelope, systems, and site upgrades. New Hampshire Oyster River Cooperative School District is procuring design services for a new 120,000-sq-ft middle school in Durham. The project is valued at between $35 million and $40 million. Virginia The Virginia Dept. of General Services is planning to build a new Central State Hospital to replace the current campus of 13 outmoded buildings on a 500-acre campus in Petersburg. The project entails constructing a two-story, 460,000-sq-ft building containing 252 inpatient beds (111 maximum security beds for patients with criminal charges who require psychiatric evaluation and rehabilitation, and 141 civil beds). The facility will also include treatment areas and secure enclosed courtyards for outdoor recreation by patients. It has been designed by Einhorn Yaffee Prescott.
