Last week the Technology Association of Oregon hosted its 34th annual Oregon Technology Awards event in downtown Portland. For more than three decades these awards have served to identify and honor the highest excellence among the companies that comprise the state’s technology industry. It is with great pride that we announce Viewpoint has been honored as the association’s Technology Company of the Year for 2018 in the Enterprise category.

Recognizing Growth and Technology Achievements

As our Chairman and CEO, Manolis Kotzabasakis noted in our recent press release, the award is a resounding statement on an active and successful year. “Our company success and growth are both a direct result of the amazing work of Viewpoint employees in Portland and around the globe—all toward the single mission of helping our clients digitize operations and transform their businesses with Viewpoint solutions.”

Viewpoint has experienced tremendous growth, both in sales and size. Our Portland headquarters alone grew nearly 30 percent in 2017. Additionally, Viewpoint purchased Seattle-based construction ERP developer Dexter + Chaney in July of last year and also brought on a key development partner to the Viewpoint team last month by acquiring Monrovia, Calif.-based Keystyle Data Solutions. Both moves bring our company closer to fulfilling on the overarching vision of connecting the office, team and field for customers.

A Stellar Group of Technology Pioneers

The event last week brought together the very best companies with some of the most impressive technologies of our time, even on a national and international scale. As the global leader in construction technology, we are both thrilled and humbled to be considered among the best and most innovative tech companies to represent Oregon. We are thankful to be recognized for our achievements, leadership and commitment to our industry and community.

Each year, The Oregon Technology Awards recognize and celebrate excellence and achievement in Oregon’s technology industry. Seven other top technology companies in Oregon and SW Washington—MilkRun, Hubb, Cloudability, PacStar, Planar, Treehouse and PDX Women in Tech—also received significant honors. Two individuals were also honored. Angela Jackson of Portland Seed Fund and Portland State University Business Accelerator was named Tech Champion winner. Meanwhile, Stephen Marsh, founder and chairman of Smarsh, was the inaugural recipient of the Sam Blackman Award. This award, replacing the TAO’s former Technology Executive of the Year award, is named after AWS Elemental founder, Sam Blackman who passed away in August 2017.

We look forward to continuing our pursuit of excellence for the benefit of our industry and our community. Thank you to the Technology Association of Oregon and their sponsors for this great honor and all of the work they have done to put on this incredible event year after year.
