ALPHARETTA, GA — In 2013, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced an agreement to co-locate the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) with the International Builders’ Show (IBS) under the banner of Design & Construction Week (DCW). Since then, the event has grown to include the International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE) and SURFACES, StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas and TileExpo, and has sought the attention of industry organizations who provide advocacy, education and awareness.

“Design & Construction Week is not only extremely successful, but has grown over the years and continues to flourish,” said Bill Darcy, NKBA CEO. “The NKBA is honored to have co-founded such an important industry event.  As always we appreciate the collaboration and support of so many industry players, big and small, that help make KBIS the fastest growing trade show in North America.”

Representing a vast network of professionals including architects, designers, builders, remodelers, manufacturers, distributors and dealers, these organizations provide a variety of services and products vital to the design and construction industry.

“We gratefully acknowledge these organizations and their governing boards for the support they have shown over the past three years to grow Design & Construction, which in turn has allowed the individual shows involved, like KBIS, to grow and evolve,” said Brian Pagel, VP Kitchen and Bath Group, Emerald Expositions.

The 2016 Design & Construction Week Gold supporting organizations are:

American Institute of Building Design (AIBD)

American Supply Association (ASA)

Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA)

Located again in Las Vegas, the third annual DCW will take place January 19-22 and will bring together 120,000+ design and construction professionals in the largest annual gathering of the housing industry. This synchronization of trade shows and markets will have direct benefits for all those in the design and construction industries.
