CRANSTON, RITaco Comfort Solutions has earned a 2016 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island award, presented by Providence Business News. This is a second Best Workplace award occasion for Taco (the company was previously recognized in 2011.)

The annual Best Places to Work in RI awards are managed by the Best Companies Group, a B2B media partner company that provides survey tools and comprehensive reporting for identifying/recognizing best employers within a city, state, region or industry.

Companies from across RI engaged in a two-part survey process conducted by BCG: the first part focused on workplace policies, practices, philosophy and systems (25% of total score), with an employee survey to measure the employee experience as the second part (75% of total score). Combined company scores determined the winners.

In related news for the family-owned manufacturer, Taco Comfort Solutions also recently received an Exemplary Worksite Health Award from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce for its programs encouraging employee health and well-being. Taco has a well-established Employee Wellness Program and has earned the Exemplary Worksite Health Award for 11 consecutive years thru 2016.

“We’re very pleased and honored to receive these awards of recognition for the way we operate Taco,” commented Wil VandeWiel, Chief Operating Officer. “Our employees are our most important asset, and it’s been a long practice by the White family and Taco management to do its best by them when they come to work each day.”
