ENR New England is pleased to announce Carl Sciple as the 2016 Legacy Award winner. The award is given annually to an individual in the region who has established a solid “legacy” of lifetime service to the construction industry, their colleagues and to their community. ENR New England covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. 

Sciple, who was chosen by ENR editors, is northeast director at MOCA Systems, a full service owner’s representative and software products development firm serving the design and construction industry. He also worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 24 years and the Massachusetts Port Authority for 23 years. Sciple’s professional skills range from working as a practicing engineer, to various management positions in federal and state organizations.

Sciple has also been active in academic life, as an associate professor of construction management at Wentworth Institute of Technology and in his involvement in various mentoring programs for young professionals in the construction industry. Sciple is also active in the Society of American Military Engineers as a current board member. He is a past president as well.

Sciple is a current board member of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) New England chapter, of which he has been both president and a recipient of its Distinguished Award. 

Sciple will be honored at the ENR MidAtlantic Best Projects awards banquet on Dec. 8 in Boston. He will also be profiled in the November issue of ENR New England.
