Headquartered in Michigan, Martin Technologies is a full-service engineering and manufacturing company, providing global mobility solutions to the automotive, marine, aerospace and defense industries.

“This move represents an exciting growth segment for Martin Technologies,” said Harold Martin, CEO and founder of Martin Technologies. “We have steadily grown our team for more than 21 years. We are founded on a motorsports culture of fast reaction, precision, efficiency and innovation. We are blessed by the welcome and accommodation of Lawrence County. This location is key to our engineering expansion as we are rapidly expanding our global footprint. We have plans to hire approximately 240 people to accommodate our growing customer base in the local market, bringing additional economic growth to Lawrence County.”

Martin Technologies’ decision to establish a new facility in Lawrenceburg is driven by increased demand among automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers for its engineering, testing and manufacturing services. Martin Technologies will initially occupy 60,000-square-feet at 100 Hicks Drive in Lawrenceburg. Martin Technologies plans to have the new facility operational in January 2018. The Lawrenceburg operations will initially support engineering and testing services for automotive OEMs before providing additional manufacturing services for OEMs and suppliers.

“I’d like to thank Martin Technologies for its commitment to invest in Lawrence County,” said Gov. Bill Haslam. “The creation of approximately 240 new jobs in high-skilled engineering, management and technician positions will be a tremendous boost for household incomes in Lawrence County. Martin Technologies’ decision to establish operations in Lawrenceburg brings us one step closer to making Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“From a jobs standpoint, Martin Technologies’ plan to locate a facility in Lawrenceburg represents the largest project TNECD has supported in Lawrence County since 2011,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe. “TNECD has made job growth in rural Tennessee a priority, and it’s encouraging news that Martin Technologies will move forward and create hundreds of new job opportunities for the residents of Lawrence County.”
