Worker Killed After 50 Foot Fall From Elevated Platform

A worker fell to his death on Monday morning at a construction site in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood. According to the Chicago Tribune, police say Reynaleo Grimaldo, 54, was attempting to climb onto a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) at the work site when he fell about 50 feet.

An autopsy performed Tuesday confirmed Grimaldo died of multiple blunt force injuries suffered in the fall. His death was ruled an accident.
