The new replacement campus for Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is a five-story, 168,000-sq-ft state-of-the-art facility that will accommodate 750 students specializing in theater, writing, music, visual arts and dance.

Occupying a full city block in downtown Houston, the campus is bordered on two sides by light rail tracks. The main theater is at the core of the structure, spanning from the first level of the basement to the fly loft on the fifth floor. Its central location also created necessary separation and sound break from the busy downtown traffic and light rail outside.
