A lawn care workshop will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. August 24 at the University of Missouri Extension.
Dr. Lee Miller, professor of the ASOC Division of Plant Sciences, University of Missouri, will be in the West Plains extension classroom conducting the workshop for do-it-yourself (DIY) homeowners and professional lawn care providers. Topics will include how to get a healthy lawn by taking the guesswork out of managing destructive lawn pests, how to keep money in your pocket and not spend on un-needed chemicals or fertilizer, and how to get rid of weeds in the lawn.
Space is limited for this workshop. The cost of the workshop is $15 cash or check, and is open to Howell, Missouri, and surrounding county residents. Pre-register by August 23.
Participants will keep the 99-page reference book, Integrated Pest Management: Pest Management for Home Lawns pocket guide, after attending this workshop. Integrated Pest Management: Pest Management for Home Lawns pocket guide is also available for purchase for $10 if not attending the workshop.
