It turns out there is an app for that, uncovered by the Austin Chapter of SMPS. The LinkedIn app for IOS (iPhone and IPad), which I once mocked, keeps getting better. Hidden in the heart of just about every iPhone and iPad is something that tells us this steel-cage death match eventually will end with a handshake and a hug. Apple CEO Tim Cook said at a conference earlier this year that “the engine” for the iPhone and iPad is made in Austin, TX (without mentioning Samsung). Case closed, right?

The company was in the middle of production on Mr. Lessmore when Apple introduced its iPad. Moonbot used FastStart to help quickly train their programmers to learn the new technology in order to turn the children’s tale into an iPad App. Austin, TX tops the list, followed by El Paso, McCallen and Houston.
