Energy-efficiency measures paying off for commercial building owners, says BOMA study


According to a study of data from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s Experience Exchange Report (EER) by Kingsley Associates, the commercial real estate industry’s ongoing focus on energy efficiency has resulted in a downward trend in total operating expenses.

BOMA International joins coalition to standardize how buildings are measured


BOMA International recently joined the International Property Measurement Standards Coalition (IPMSC). With so many different methods of measuring floor space in use, it makes it difficult for global investors and tenants to accurately compare space, BOMA says. The coalition includes professional and non-governmental organizations from around the world and is focused on developing a principle-based standard for the way buildings are measured globally.
