East Coast CAD Kicks it up a Notch

East Coast CAD has had Fabrication for AutoCAD MEP software for years, but it added  MEP Fabrication Version 1.0 for AutoCAD Revit MEP 2011 on November 30th. The heat is on and the excuses should be over for prefabrication of duct on jobs that are being completed in Revit MEP products. See East Coast CAD announcement here.

For those interested in seeing MEP Fabrication in action, taking system layouts from an engineering drawing in Revit MEP 2011 and converting the duct to manufacturable geometry, a live webinar presentation will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 25th at 1PM EST. There is a sign up link from the EastCoast CAD/CAM home page.

WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THE SOFTWARE TAKE AN EXISTING 'LIVE' DRAWING FROM A REVIT USER AND DO THE PROCESS. WILLING TO BET THAT ALL THE DEMO DOES IS PROCESS AN EXISTING MODEL THAT HAS BEEN SET UP PERFECTLY. MOST OF THE MODELS THAT ARE OUT THERE ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE STAGES THAT YOUR DEMO IS, EVEN IF THE PROJECT IS CLOSED OUT.
JUST SAYING...........
