Value of subcontracts awarded on HS2 hits £7.9bn

HS2 has revealed that tier two subcontracts totalling £7.9bn have been awarded to over 2,000 UK-based companies since the project started. Latest figures show SMEs securing £3.6bn worth of orders – a 45% share of work on the route.
