Work Begins on Casa Grande Housing Facility for Nevada Dept. of Corrections

The Korte Company has begun construction on Casa Grande, a 79,540 square foot re-entry transitional housing facility for the Molasky Group of Companies who is privately developing the facility for the Nevada State Department of Corrections. The project utilizes tilt-up concrete panels and consists of three separate buildings, including a single-story administration building and two additional two-story residential buildings.

When completed in December, Nevada will become only the fifth state to initiate this type of innovative transitional program where inmates will receive counseling and assistance covering housing, education, employment, financial management, medical concerns and family reunification.

Greg Korte, President of The Korte Company’s Las Vegas Division added, “The Casa Grande facility is another great example of how the privatization of public projects can benefit the community. In this case not only are the taxpayers getting much more building for the buck, but the final purpose of the facility will be a benefit to society for many years to come.”
