Grids That Don't Show Up

Revit OpEd

Revit will not display Grids that are not perpendicular to the view cut plane. Revit developers chose this because they preferred not to convey ambiguity with important datum elements. A way to work around this involves a generic model family that contains simple lines in plan to provide something to locate properly in a view. It then uses a symbolic line drawn in the Front Elevation to act as a "Grid Line".

Simple Choices

Constructor Marketing that Works

'Article and text NOT by Joe the Plumber (I did this only for the Google rankings. A marketing lesson already.) My teenage son just got an earful (perhaps two) about having good judgment. “We’re just a product of our choices,” I said, trying not to call attention to any of mine. He’s driving now, which causes me to squirm even as I write the line. We gave him a Driving Contract, which is required for modern day “with-it” parents.

Pity the fool - The Business Facilities Blog - Economic Development.

Business Facilities

Welcome to the Business Facilities Blog. Friday, October 24, 2008. Pity the fool. When Alan Greenspan presided over the Federal Reserve for 18 years, he periodically appeared before Congress to mutter some ethereal bromides about the state of the U.S. economy. Greenspans pronouncements were greeted as Yoda-like pearls of wisdom. Every mumbled word from this financial deity was reverentially parsed ad nauseum by a herd of financial analysts; every time he raised his eyebrows and creased those sha

Gas prices may have fallen in the past few weeks, and the stock market may be showing signs of a turnaround, but those indicators are not reflected in the American Institute of Architects' Architecture Billings Index (ABI). More phase issues (graphics)

Do

Hello again, Another issue I found while running the education session last week was dealing with the results of a new insert in an existing wall. When you place something like a door into an existing wall object, lines for the door, show up in your existing floor plan views, and there is a quasi selectable "infill" object. I also do not remember seeing this behavior in previous versions of Revit.
