P.T. Ferro Construction Co., Joliet, Ill., has been cited and for putting workers at risk in Lansing in July. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has proposed fines of $104,756. OSHA says Ferro allowed employees to work in a 7-foot-deep trench without cave-in protection and a means to exit the trench quickly in a collapse.
