Amtrak Train Strikes Backhoe Outside Philly, Kills 2 Workers

Sunday morning, two workers will killed when Amtrak Train number 89, bound for Savannah, Georgia, struck their backhoe in Chester, Pennsylvania. During the crash, the lead engine partially derailed, scattering debris throughout the tracks and under a steel railroad bridge near Sixth and Broom streets in Chester.
