ARIZONA

Diversified Partners is planning to develop Ironwood, a residential community in San Tan Valley. The project involves converting the former Links at Queen Creek Golf Course, a 106-acre property, into 205 low-density apartments, 292 medium-density apartments and 248 single-family homes. The development will include a community park and lake. One hundred and seventy-two of the single-family homes will be developed by Tri Pointe Homes. The project is valued at $750 million. ARIZONA

The city of Yuma is planning to carry out Phase II of the Desert Dunes Water Reclamation Facility expansion. The project entails expanding the facility’s capacity from 3.3 million gallons per day to 6.6 mgd and making improvements to the headworks, aeration basins, digesters and disinfection systems. PCL Construction Inc. has been chosen as the construction manager. Construction is expected to start in May 2023. The project is valued at $80 million. ARIZONA

The Arizona Dept. of Transportation is planning to replace the mile-long Queen Creek Bridge on U.S. Route 60 between mileposts 227.7 and 228.7 in Gila County. NEVADA

In order to host the Formula One Grand Prix auto race in November in Las Vegas, Liberty Media plans to carry out construction worth $400 million. One aspect involves rebuilding the city streets along the 3.8-mile-long race route. A second component is a four-story, 300,000-sq-ft paddock building on a 39-acre site at the northeast corner of Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane. The paddock building will feature 13 team pit areas at ground level, where crews will work on the cars before, during and after the race. Levels 2 and 3 will feature club level space for spectators, with the fourth floor consisting of a rooftop terrace. The project also entails temporary grandstands in front of Caesars, Venetian and Bellagio; a 1,987-space parking lot for attendees; and over 37,000 sq ft of signs. NEVADA

The Washoe County School District is seeking proposals for construction management services to replace the E. Otis Vaughn Middle School in Reno. The deadline was March 1. The project entails replacing the existing school where the existing athletic fields sit, constructing the new building(s), demolishing the existing buildings and then constructing new athletic fields. NEVADA

Ioneer Ltd. is planning to develop the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium Mine and processing facilities. It will be located in Esmeralda County 14 miles northeast of Dyer on public land administered by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management within the Silver Peak Range and have a footprint of 931 acres. The project entails constructing the mine, a spent ore storage facility, processing facilities, a sulfuric acid plant and a power plant. It is projected to produce about 24,000 tons per year of lithium carbonate/hydroxide and about 192,000 tons per year of boric acid.
