Australia’s largest privately owned civils contractor BMD has acquired UK consultancy TUSP.

The deal will fire-up TUSP’s continued growth plans in the transport, energy, defence and construction industries.

TUSP Group Managing Director Richard Smith said. “We have been working with BMD’s London office — BMD Infrastructure Services — for several  months now and are delighted to see the impact that their engineering talent from Australia has  already made to the programmes of work we have with our current clients.

BMD’s Peter Anusas signing the deal with TUSP’s Richard Smith and Steve Hobden

“Our shared commitment to doing business with honesty, integrity and putting people first makes this  an exciting time for both our organisations and the UK market.”

Managing Director (UK) of BMD’s London office, Peter Anusas, added: “We are really excited about utilising this brilliant UK talent pool, and capitalising on the opportunity to  engage with and bring on board local people and suppliers.

“Ultimately this will advance BMD’s proven delivery experience in major projects and sustainable  solutions and deliver increased value for money and social value outcomes for the UK construction  sector.”
