Tire-Slashing Incident at Arkansas Equipment Dealership

More than 30 mowers and tractors disabled in what appears to be a personally driven act of vandalism.

As reported by THV-11 CBS, a powersports and power equipment dealership in Cabot, AR, had the tires slashed on more than 30 tractors and lawnmowers.

The dealership owner believes the incident resulted from a personal issue someone had with him. The tires that were slashed were on equipment that was already sold. Some of the tires had more than 20 puncture wounds. “That’s rage,” the dealership owner said.

The damage could cost nearly $100,000. While he obviously hopes the perpetrator is found, the dealership owner is now rectifying the situation himself. "We have to order all the tires, and we have to break [the vehicles] down,” the dealer said. “Every one of these has to be done by hand; it's just a big hassle."

The dealer also said he is stepping up his overnight security in order to help prevent something like this from happening again.
