Pennsylvania Post Brothers Apartments is planning to convert the Quaker Building, a warehouse located at 900 N. Ninth St. in Philadelphia, to a 350-unit apartment building with some retail and office space on the lower floors. The 350,000-sq-ft building, with one section 10 floors tall, and another six floors, was erected in 1918 as a warehouse for Strawbridge & Clothier, a department store chain. California The Los Angeles County Sanitation District has awarded a $630-million contract to Dragados USA Inc. for the Clearwater Project. The project entails constructing a 7-mile-long, 18-ft-dia precast concrete segmental lining tunnel to convey treated effluent from the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant in Carson to existing ocean outfalls at Royal Palms Beach in San Pedro. In addition, the project includes a 14-ft-dia connecting pipe, a 60-ft-dia shaft, junction structure, manifold structure and two valve structures. Ohio 3/28 The Ohio Dept. of Transportation is seeking bidders to carry out a major reconstruction of Interstate 75 in Wood County. The project involves reconstructing and widening portions of I-75 from the Glenwood Road overpass to just north of the South Avenue interchange, including the interchange ramps. The project includes replacing the Disalle Bridge over the Maumee River, the realignment of I-75 between Wales Road and the Miami Street interchanges, and realignment of the Miami Street interchange ramps.
