“They’re inconvenient truths. Why did I pick that word? Because CEOs and management teams don’t want them to be true,” says Oakley. “We want so desperately to believe that we can automate our way to success and higher margins, and that when we hear stories about innovation and technology pushing things forward, that it should be very easy.”
