Briggs & Stratton's SnowShredder Serrated Auger was introduced on select single-stage snowblowers built by Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group last year. The company says it proved to be one of its most successful snow product launches ever.

The SnowShredder auger system combines 14-welded, serrated steel surfaces with reinforced rubber paddles to efficiently chop, grind and clear compacted snow, ice and end-of-driveway snow buildup. The self-propelled drive system quickly clears down to the pavement and moves the snowblower forward effortlessly.
This new feature is available on two snowthrower models: the Simplicity 922EXD and 1222EE, along with Briggs & Stratton-branded single-stage snowblowers.
The Simplicity model 1222EE features a 250cc Briggs & Stratton 1150 Snow Series engine, the largest its class (Briggs assures), letting the operator clear snow more than 30% faster compared to the company’s other single-stage snowblowers. The powerful engine is complemented by an easy-to-use electric chute rotation control to quickly and accurately adjust the direction snow is thrown.
All Simplicity and Briggs & Stratton models feature an ergonomically designed handlebar and easy-to-use controls for enhanced operator comfort and maneuverability. Additionally, push-button electric start provides quick starts on cold winter days — down to -20° F — and if it doesn’t start within two electric start attempts, Briggs & Stratton will fix it for free.
