Aging bridges built in the 1960s are being demolished and replaced with bigger, more structurally reinforced bridges as part of the ITD I-86 and I-15 System Interchange Reconstruction project in Pocatello, Idaho. Designed to improve the safety, efficiency and mobility of traffic between I-86 and I-15, the project also includes a 1.3-mile pedestrian and bike path. The project—a Sundt/Cannon joint venture—was recently honored with a 2023 Idaho Dept. of Transportation/Associated General Contractors of Idaho Partnering Award.
