In its efforts to assist home builders’ associations (HBAs) involved in local advocacy efforts on issues affecting housing affordability, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is currently accepting applications from state and local HBAs for its State and Local Issues Fund (SLIF), which provides financial assistance in these efforts. The application deadline is May 15.
SLIF is administered through NAHB’s State and Local Government Affairs Committee and provides financial assistance to help state and local HBAs deal with legislative, regulatory, or ballot issues that have national implications beyond the HBA’s jurisdiction or that are a common industry problem whose resolution could be precedent-setting and may not succeed without financial support from NAHB.
