Facade elements such as the unique corten steel exoskeleton give the Atlantic Plumbing redevelopment a clean and modern architectural style with a raw, industrial vibe.

Reclaimed brick, divided window units and metal panels also rejuvenate the site of the former Atlantic Plumbing Supply Co. in the District of Columbia’s Shaw neighborhood. The project consists of two residential structures, a 10-story tower containing 310 units and 22,000 sq ft of ground-level retail space. The retail space sits on top of a two-story, below-grade, 165-stall parking garage. A six-story residential tower containing 65 units and 4,700 sq ft of ground-level retail space sits above a single-story, below-grade, 25-stall parking garage.

While the roof of the 10-story tower offers a resort-style pool deck and patio lounge area, the project also includes 35 affordable units and five artist studios.
