This landmark was built in 1936 for the centennial of the Republic of Texas. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and as a State Antiquities Landmark, the hall is one of three defining examples of Texas architecture, along with the Alamo and the Capitol.

Water infiltration caused the most significant damage over the past eight decades, so restoration work required waterproofing membranes; repair of the limestone facade; window, door and plaster repairs; and an internal gutter to eliminate drippage.

The team successfully worked with and around hazardous materials, including asbestos and lead, as well as chemicals used in the restoration.
When the team delivered the building in November 2020, they raised a flag that had flown over the Alamo.
