Level 10 Construction to Break Ground for Sunnyvale Fire Station

SunnyvaleSUNNYVALE, CA — Level 10 Construction will break ground June 17 on the construction of Sunnyvale Fire Station #5 and Public Safety Training Center, located at Moffett Place in Sunnyvale, California. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the two-acre project site at 1210 Bordeaux Drive. It will be co-hosted by the city of Sunnyvale and the Jay Paul Company, the developers of Moffett Place.

The 18,000-square-foot fire station and public safety training facility includes an onsite training classroom, a 50-person classroom and a 25-yard tactical indoor firing range to be used by public safety personnel. The firing range will enable public safety officers to train locally with greater availability, as opposed to traveling to and reserving limited space at other ranges. A 30,000-square-foot asphalt area that borders the facility will be used for fire training.

The Sunnyvale Fire Station is adjacent to Moffett Place, a 1.9 million-square-foot office campus, developed by the Jay Paul Company and built by Level 10. Located alongside Silicon Valley’s Highway 237 corridor near Highway 101, Moffett Place includes six new eight-story office buildings, three multi-level parking structures, surface parking and a two-story amenities building.

Level 10 Construction is scheduled to complete the fire station by the spring of 2016. The facility will be built to LEED Silver-equivalent standards. DES Architects + Engineers is the project architect.
