North Carolina Gilde is planning to establish a small-scale brewery, the Embassy, and a larger-scale brewery, at unselected sites in Charlotte. The project scope includes renovation or construction of a 5,000-sq-ft and a 100,000-sq-ft building; and purchase and installation of grain boilers; stainless-steel refrigerated fermentation tanks; chillers; heat exchangers; process piping; a walk-in cooler; racking; and milling, pasteurization, sanitizing, packaging and flow-control equipment. The Embassy will have the capacity to produce approximately 2,000 barrels of beer per year, with construction beginning in late 2019 or early in 2020, following site acquisition. Oregon JSR Micro, Inc. is planning to construct a cleaning products manufacturing facility on a 25-acre site in Hillsboro. The project scope includes construction of a 79,000-sq-ft, concrete tilt-up building; and purchase and installation of chemical storage tanks and formulation, blending, filling, flow-control and load-out equipment. Perlo Construction has been selected to provide general construction services. Construction is expected to begin late in the third quarter of 2019. Utah Crossroads Paper, LLC is planning to construct a paper mill at an unselected 80-acre site in the Salt Lake Valley. The project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; installation of a containerboard paper machine; purchase and installation of a process water recycling system, a boiler, wet scrubbers, vacuum pumps, and pulp-hydrating, starch surface treatment, calendering, roll-handling, winding, conveying, packaging, palletizing and loading-dock equipment; and purchase of forklift trucks. The mill will have the capacity to produce 1,000 tons of linerboard per day. Valmet Corporation has been selected to supply the major equipment.
